Group Figure Skating

 

Learn to figure skate in a group environment! Our group figure skating has two options: 


Jr. Prep

(Ages 4-8)

The program is for young athletes interested in figure skating at an accelerated rate. Jr. Prep group classes focus on figure skating skill development on the ice, and motor and vestibular development off the ice. Skaters participating in Jr. Prep will be competing and assessing at the coach's discretion.

Days Required: 3 days/week.

Star 1+ Group
(Previously Beginner Figure Skating)

(Ages 6-15)

Group figure skating classes for ages 6-15 and skaters wanting to figure skate at a recreational level. Fundamentals of figure skating are taught. No minimum amount of days is required. Skaters participating in Star 1+ Figure Skating will have the option to compete and assess at the coach's discretion.

Are you looking for your skater to participate casually in figure skating but they're not quite 6 or haven't passed Stage 1 in CanSkate? Register for CanSkate. Our program teaches all the basics needed to figure skate.

Must be passed Stage 1 CanSkate.

Advanced Figure Skating


Skaters Who've Passed Star 1 Assessment In Jr. Prep or Beginner Figure Skating move into private lessons with our advanced programming.



Schedule C - Open Level
(Previously Junior)

Have passed Star 1 Assessments.

Skaters training 3-5 days per week. 

Star 2-10/GOLD competition & assessment focused.



Schedule B 
(Previously Intermediate)

Passed all Star 3 assessments.

Skaters training 4+ days per week.

Star 4-GOLD competition & assessment focused.



Schedule A
(Previously Senior)

Competing Star 5+, earning 19+ points at competitions/events.

Athletes must earn their points annually to register for this schedule the following season.

Skating 4+ days per week.
